My name is Gunner. I'm a 4 year old GSD, I work for the only fire department in the state of Georgia that has a full time, around the clock, 24/7 urban search and rescue team. All the k-9s on the team are trained in live victim recovery in collapsed structure (Disaster traning), but we are also trained in cadaver work both land and water. We go to work with our handles to the fire station, and stay for the whole 24 hours. We work out of Station # 21. All the teams train to the FEMA type II standers.
