'BORN TO TEASE'

Our sweet Greta was born at Rocky Run Kennels in Boothwyn, PA.  She was one of "Stoney's" breed, a real champion, and the only puppy in the litter. Since she missed growing up with siblings, she would tease all the adult GSPs. And..she continued to tease  Fritzi, then Tessa plus Bob & I until the day she went to the Rainbow Bridge to wait with all our other previous pets. She received 100% attention from us, and from her GSP companions. First; Fritzi and then Tessa. She was a top notch bird dog. Bob was offered thousands of dollars for her from many a hunter. But...she was priceless to us, no amount of money could take her away from us.  We will never forget our sweet Greta. We still talk about her and miss her terribly.  Greta is the reason why I began to make pet memorial cards for others. And...I am dedicating my book that will be out in 2003,
HEROES ALL WITHOUT QUESTION
to Greta, since she is the one who started my website and donation of cards to Law Enforcement, SAR & Military canines.

'SWEETEST GSP'

TESSA was born in College Park, MD.  Her breeders are
Ted & Marian Elsasser. She was the most sociable of all our GSPs. She welcomed Chloe with wagging tail and friendly sniffs. She was so happy to have someone to play with since Greta went over the Rainbow Bridge. She will be missed. Tess...tell Greta we still talk about her when you see her. Tessa never growled at anyone. We lost her after a long illness of thyroid cancer and heart condition. She loved to hunt for 12 seasons, and when not hunting, she loved to play with the soccer ball in our back yard, and also run with Chloe. We will always love you and miss you.

Little Leesy (Liesl) named after Chloe's breeder,
Leesy McDonnell of Snowy River GSPs, in Frederick MD
and the daughter, Liesl in movie, "THE SOUND OF MUSIC," will be joining our family in May, 2003
from the Elsasser's.

.....

Bonnie was born on June 30, 1991 in New York.
She was adopted by Fred & Emily Sloviko
of Thurmont, MD in September of 1992.
They suddenly lost her on September 27, 1999.
She took several obedience courses.
She loved agility training and mastered many tricks
which she dearly loved to perform.
She obtained her Canine Good Citizen Award.
Needless to say, she is sadly missed by Fred, Emily
and her room mate, "Buddy," who is also a GSP,
Also missed by many other humans and doggie friends.
"We can replace our dog, but never
be able to replace our Bonnie.
She will always remain in our hearts."

In Loving Memory of "Capone"
1990 - 2000, April 20
Santa Barbara, CA

"Capone was the light in my life and will be missed forever."
GERRIE SHAPIRO
Santa Barbara, CA

"Capone was extraordinary.
He was the POSTER-BOY for Pit-Bulls.
He was as gentle as a lamb. I know it is common for a dog
to sleep in bed with his "mom"....
but Capone took it to the next level.
He was intent on being under the blanket
with his "big" head right next to me sharing
the pillow. That way he could breathe
on my face all night.
I look forward to seeing him in my dreams! "

Meet "Moses"  (above)
(breed - Argentine Dogo)
Gerrie's new puppy who is growing up.
Capone would be so proud!

Moses is getting big and bad. He is now 10 mos. old a weighs 115lbs!!!!!  I never thought I'd do this, but he is signed up for "Boot Camp." He needs some strict  training. Here is a recent photo...May, 2001
A MUST READ TRUE STORY
Every now and then, God sends us an angel. For a police officer and his girlfriend, that angel was a solid black German Shepherd named Agir. He was purchased through Police Service Dogs, privately owned company imported from Chezk Republic titled in the IPO and Schutzhund events.
Police officer, Joe, knew he had to purchase this dog despite of price.  Holly, girlfriend, was being stalked by ex-boyfriend, death threats, and refused to leave home because of extreme anxiety. She survived injuries of broken limbs & teeth, hole in her uterus due to battles of domestic violence and the dog was her only hope of protection. Holly & Agir formed an everlasting bond.  One night Holly took Agir for their nightly walk. Agir ran back to her, took her hand in his mouth and dragged her to an incline. A loud shot rang out! Holly had just been a missed target. A man jumped out behind a bush, ran, Agir took after him. There was a speeding car on the one way street with 3 men. Feared for Agir, Holly called Agir back with a German command. He saved her life that night. Sadly on 4/18/00 Agir passed away from an immune system problem. Everyone is grateful for Agir's life saving event and will never be forgotten.

My sweet "Billie-Bones"
I never could even begin to imagine the pain I have felt at losing her. She left me after a very short 12 and a half years. She is the reason I smiled in the mornings, and my reason for living. She taught me what unconditional love really is. It's when, even at the lowest point you could ever imagine in your life being at, and she comes and sits next to you and paws you with her paw and licks you as if to say "it is okay, I am here for you, and I love you."  I Love you Billie-Bones.
