In Loving Memory of
"HECTOR"
January, 1987 -  October 29th, 2001

Missed by Cindie Kisarewich
Plantation, FL
My Hector, as I called him, was my faithful friend, loyal companion and confidante. I adopted him from a neighbor's dogs litter of 6 who were to be taken to the pound. I brought him into my home at the age of 4 weeks old, in February of 1987. I had never had a puppy, but a few older dogs, usually strays. Hector has stuck by me through thick and thin offering nothing but unconditional love. His bubbly, take charge personality only begins to describe him. He was very unique which made him all the more special.Labs are born swimmers, not my  Hector. He refused to swim from day #1. Not until the tender age of 10 years old, did he learn to swim. My fiancé (husband, now) bought Hector a doggy life jacket and taught him to swim. It was a sight and certainly something I'll always remember. Robert was very patient with Hector. He would take him to a lake on the weekends and gradually got him deeper into the water and taught him to swim. Needless to say, Hector swam like a champ shortly thereafter. Hector was so predictable in his daily routines. He would always wait for my husband to leave in the mornings, before sneaking into the bedroom/bathroom area (off limits, at least as far as Robert was concerned) to watch me get ready for work. I really miss that. The other two dogs don't do that. I gave Hector hip massages several times a week, this past year as he developed arthritis. He would always turn over on his back with the four paws in the air. He sometimes slept like this as well. He put up with allot from me all these years. Dressing him up in silly hats and costumes. What patience he had. I must say that I miss him dearly. My grandmother had kept him for a year or so, before I got married and wasn't in a place that I could have a large pet. He stayed with her in Ohio and lived the Good Life. She fed him her " Meals on Wheels."  She told my dad that Hector was always clinking and clanking the food bowl and must be hungry. He really loved her as she did him. I always felt guilty for taking him back but her physical health had declined. We buried Hectors picture in a locket when she passed. My solace now is that I know that Hector and Grandma are in Heaven. Hector has an unlimited supply of Milk Bones and Grandma is reunited with him. Both are free of pain and worries and living the eternal peaceful life. I don't know what to say about writing a memorial. You'll have to tell me what information that you would need. This is all new to me. I just want Hector to have what he deserves The Best.  "Cindie, You could not write a better memorial to Hector than this. God Bless you."

Malcolm, beloved pug about town, dies at 16
Tuesday, November 6, 2001
The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Malcolm, a pug who became the mascot of the National Arts Club after the death of his owner, actress Sylvia Sidney, has died at the age of 16. Malcolm, known for his love of movies, top hats, and lamb chops served with mint jelly, died Oct. 27, according to club President Aldon James. "He was small, but he was a giant. In a private club, you need discretion, and he never repeated anything he heard. He could keep a secret," James said. Sidney died in July 1999 and left Malcolm to the National Arts Club, which offers lodging to members in the Tony Gramercy Park neighborhood. Sidney was a waif like theater and movie star of the 1930s who was still acting into the 1990s. She was honored by the club with a lifetime achievement award in 1990, and often brought Malcolm with her when she visited the club or dined there, James said. After she died, Malcolm slept with one of her shoes. Malcolm was beloved by many of the club's members, James said, and he had a special fondness for Yoko Ono, former New York City Mayor David Dinkins, actress Patricia Neal, and sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer. "Malcolm had a very rich social life," James said. "He served with distinction on the hospitality committee."  The pug was cremated, and his ashes will be kept at the club, James said. James said he will likely schedule a memorial service for Malcolm when a movie about the dog, filmed by a club member, is ready for a screening. "I feel a great loss," James said. "Club members are very sullen when they hear Malcolm is gone.
There was no one like him.

PUPPY WITH A WAGGING TAIL
You cannot buy loyalty, they say,
I bought it though the other day.
You cannot buy friendship tried and true,
Well, just the same, I bought that too.
I made my bid and on the spot,
Bought love, faith and a whole job lot,
of happiness, so considering all
the purchase price was pretty small.
I bought a simple, trusting heart,
That gives devotion from the start.
If you think these things are not for sale,
Buy a brown eyed puppy with a wagging tail.

"HE WAS MY HEART & SOUL"

This photo was taken Feb. 5, 2001
Marshall loved the snow. He was born
the same day and minute as Jobnet Ramsey,
three years earlier.
IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY,
     AND MEMORIES A LANE,
I WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN,
      AND BRING YOU HOME AGAIN...

HEAVEN'S DOGGY DOOR
My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head lay in my hand.
The doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled him in my arms,
Were of his younger puppy years,
 And Oh... his many charms.
Today there was no gentle nudge,
With an intense "I love you" gaze.
Only a heart that's filled with tears,
 Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And said, "You should cry no more,
God also loves our canine friends,
 He's installed a doggy door!"

Elsa, my 12 week old shepherd was put down today.  She was having such bad seizures the vet could not do anything else for her.  I am absolutley devastated.  I have not stopped crying all day.  This one was worse than Agir.  I am going to send you a picture of her. Holly
